It's a very simple argument and yet not something many want to go along with. Maybe because they're being pressured to do otherwise, or maybe they just like the extra cash the pressure comes with.
It's clearly the most obvious and realistic argument: they don't actually need that much support from us.
The only real issue I see is whether or not Israel would cut ties and become China's closest ally if we stopped funding them. Which is something I think they may end up donig.
