His wife is IN Canada, he married her here. It isn't like he was "going without it" (probably) and it drove him to desperation. He sought out a child for sex.
The "judge" said there was no actual child harmed. SO? Just because he didn't actually rape a child doesn't mean he isn't guilty as all hell.
If I were to, oh I don't know, threated to murder a specific judge? And I got caught on my way to his courtroom with a rifle in my hands? Would I get let go because no actual judges were harmed? 🙀 I think not.
That's the entire point of these sting operations: to catch the criminals! Hopefully before they actually rape a child, but usually they have many "victories" under their belts by the time they get caught, eh? How many criminals get caught on their very first crime? Not many, although they'll all lie and say they've never done it before.
Yup! It might throw a wrench into ANY future police stings like this, which would be terrible.
Also the "assassin for hire" stings too. "Oh, he didn't actually hire a real assassin to kill someone, therefor suspended sentence!" 😡
