His stated rationale here is that 16-year-olds can legally earn a taxable income and should get "a say in how their tax dollars are spent."

So, I then have to ask:

A 6-year-old can pay sales tax on a stick of gum, should they have a vote?
A comatose patient may have to pay property or income or capital gains tax on their holdings annually, should they have a vote?
Estates have to pay taxes when people pass away, should the deceased have a vote?
Corporations pay tax, should they get votes?
