Right before making this post I deleted the apps while laughing. I’ve always had better luck irl. Also, I see the same local women on the dating apps year after year. A lot of times we match but nothing happens. Probably for the better because I can only think “how many dicks have you taken just from this app in the past 5 years” 🤮

How about actually addressing the matter and not being passive-aggressive?
Go to the gym. Improve yourself in other ways. Don't be boring. It's not that hard. The most appalling men can get girlfriends.

Enough 40 years ago? It wasn't necessary. It's not even necessary today. I see very few men who are in shape, or who are smart, or who have anything going for them. None of them have any trouble getting a girl (better than they are but obviously not 10/10 supermodels).
Also, you're not confirming that you have done this. Are you simply not doing anything for yourself with the exuse that "it's not enough anyway", as if you shouldn't do it if it only benefited yourself?
Statistics disagree with you. the number of men killing themselves with steroids and gym going out number those who are able to have success with women. IIRC something like 1 in 3 men using online dating regularly go to the gym and 1 in 4 men on online dating are taking steroids and that's far more than the fraction of men who are able to succeed romanticly
You're just spouting anti-male hate blaming us for never being good enough while ignoring the reality right in front of you. The things women care about most are all GENETIC, there is no gym for our face and height. The only hope most men have of getting a girlfriend is government action.
It doesn't benefit myself, it steals time away from things I'd actually enjoy doing and to get any meaningful gains I'd have to put my life at risk with drug cocktails combined with excessive strain.
