The beauty of open source is that it doesn't matter too much.
Edit: that said, Ubuntu is gay and no one should be using it these days
In theory, sure, but in practice the principles of open source are as useful as the constitution is at stopping infinity immigrants. Look at the XLibre situation where almost no distro wants to support it purely for political reasons, and even Linux news sites were prematurely declaring it to be unreliable, untrustworthy, or not newsworthy.
and who is going to fork it or make a new one now all the old school nerds are dying off and their replacements and funding are coming from woke places?
People from shit hole countries where woke doesn't exist.
