We suspect it, but we don't know it. There's semi-plausible explanations for most of this stuff, including even why the CIA was hiding things (government instinctively hides things, they're afraid to be embarrassed because they had an eye on the guy and yet weren't able to stop the assassination).

Not saying I buy it, of course.
