I don't think Iran caught them though, and they've shown nothing, and brought no proof.

It was a preemptive defense against an inevitable false flag attack. By releasing the "article", they beat Israel to the punch of setting the narrative. It wasn't about catching them for something they have done. It's about preventing them from doing something they were planning to do.
