Why would they degrade their status as a nuclear power (by sharing it with Iran) and bear the stigma of being a proliferator? What exactly are they gaining?

Pakistan has always been a prolific proliferator. Guess where North Korea got their nukes from. Pakistan never even signed the non-proliferation treaty
