how about 2 week old dried chicken covered in spices to try and mask the fact that it's extremely old?
How about, stale bread that is short-term rehydrated only for it to turn rock hard on you if you save it for a few hours later?
Not to mention, e coli and other pathogens. Maybe that food was stored improperly.
