Nope. A nation is a people, eg the English nation. These people are opposed to the very existence of the English. Country, nation, and state are not synonyms and their use as such was purposely engineered. A country is land, a nation is people, and a state is government. Reconsider their opposition to "cultural nationalism" with this in mind.
