As u/kaarous told you in the other thread (and really, do we need two threads on this? Do we even need one?) it’s because in Japan they aren’t eating hyper-processed chemical poisons anywhere near as frequently as in America. Have you been following the shit with “MAHA” and the broader food-additive discussion? That’s probably 80% of the problem, with the rest being exercise and genetics
You haven't answered my question. Why do Asian Americans have lower obesity rates? They don't live in Japan, they live in America yet their obesity rates are much lower than other races.
The stats i gave you above are all stats of races within America. Not global stats. (they are black Americans, Hispanic Americans, White Americans , Asian Americans)
If you knew anything about Asian Americans you’d know they don’t shop at the same grocery stores as us. You’d also know they have cultural traditions that they (atleast the older, immigrant generations) tend to keep up even when they move here, such as cooking/snacking habits (making everything for themselves and buying less premade trash) and exercise habits (e.g. an hour of tai chi every morning - some might scoff but that’s an hour more of physical exertion than the average American (especially the elderly) is getting)
Asian grocery stores still import food from the closest place to them because its conveniant so the difference isn't much. You can go to one and ask them where they get their vegetables and meat from . And like i said. That is exactly my point. Its a lifestyle thing and they eat less than others.
Blacks: 49% obesity rate
Hispanics: 44.8% obesity rate
Whites: 42.2% obesity rate
Asians: 17.4% obesity rate

Why the huge difference between Asians and other groups when they are all living in the same country?
