Intolerance? No, they were tolerated. They survived for how many centuries in Europe? Having a culture isn't actually bad, and when you do, of course you're not going to appreciate people who have a different culture in your country. Doesn't mean that you should have pogroms, but both church and state almost universally disapproved of such actions by scoundrels.
There is more to anti-Semitism than money lending, i.e. incidents like the Trial of the Talmud anyway.
I think it's mainly money-lending. Particularly if you say anti-Semitism and not anti-Judaism, because a Christian convert doesn't have anything to do with the contents of the Talmud - real or made up.
