He invites the implication that because he stood up and said a few sentences that he's now "on the right side of history."
He's got Disney brain. He's in a one man play. Like a Manchurian candidate. Either that or they bleached his hair too hard.
And if this speech was given north of the Mason Dixon line then he's full of shit. Most of the north never had Jim Crow laws and those that did got rid of them before the civil rights act passed.
