If that company isn't based in the UK, they don't have to do a damn thing. If the UK also wants to effectively ban VPNs, then it is a different issue, but still only affects the UK.

This won't be changing anytime soon either. They aren't the world's only superpower. We are. So if they want to push us around, they had better start funding their military at about 10x the level they are currently.
I think it will have subtle effects. Blizzard and other companies loosely still kowtow to china. But UK is perhaps meaningless enough with their low population, until they become india 2.0
