Hah, that was another thing that I saw a while back, I think it was even posted here as well. Some anal-ysts published a report that said "Yeah sure Musk and his homeboys cut 180 billion in spending, but it cost 150 billion to do that!"
Okay so, assuming that's true (doubtful) he still saved 30 billion. And the costs are a one-time thing while the savings are per year. Oh no, how terrible!
