Yes, Leffen is a douche, is he the conspiratorial person that Hax said he is? No.
One of the main reasons why I also hate videos like this is because they don’t put in any of the context as to why Hax got banned or why he was banned for so long.
The TL;DR of this document is that Hax’s ban was escalated to a permanent ban because of him constantly telling tournament organizers in private that he didn’t apologize at all and in reality still stood by the evidence.zip2 videos. I also hate the fact that people who supposedly were friends of Hax, decided to instigate things and make his situation even worse by triggering his paranoia with his mental illness and all this other nonsense. Makes me sick just thinking about it, people making a situation worse than it already is for no reason other than them thinking it’s funny.
Hax wasn’t perfect, and I believe that if it wasn’t for him constantly going between apologizing and taking back his apologies, he would have eventually been unbanned, there is a long line between being banned from entering Smash tournaments and dying from complications from a suicide attempt.
Fuck the people who gaslit him into thinking that they were sent by Leffen to do shit.
Edit: I’m just not sure how things would have been reconciled considering Hax’s own actions, but considering the new context we have no, maybe it makes more sense now, because I’m of the belief that without all this extra bullshit, Hax would’ve been unbanned because he wouldn’t have been as egged on flip-flopping his apologies.
It's a commie struggle session. The accused is harassed until they can do nothing but fruitlessly search for the line that will sate the mobs wrath or accept their destruction. Once someone beaks under that, manipulating them is trivial.
All of this amplified by Hax’s self-admitted bipolar and alcoholism.
I’m just not sure how the hell this relates to the LGBTQ community, because most of the tournament organizers (TOs) for big tournaments are straight, as far as I know, and they’re the people who got together to ban Hax.
Really, you haven't seen the way every tournament has pronouns under the players name tag? You don't see the "women" listed among the TOs who signed the ban.
The Smash community has changed man. This is just the culmination of years of rot caused by the sort of people who list their pronouns under their Twitter bio, regardless of their sexual orientation.
It’s been so damn long since I’ve seen the ban paperwork (I actively enter tournaments so yes I know about pronouns under the tags), but I don’t think that if everyone was magically straight, that the reaction to evidence.zip2 would have been different considering what it was.
In my opinion, the most important section of this video is the nine minutes he goes over the group chat and people actively making him worse and egging him on, as that’s a large chunk as to why the fuck this ended this way, but evidence.zip2 was getting Hax temp banned regardless of who the TOs are
