you got a point. i guess i was speaking more from the viewpoint of caring for the local tribe, family group instead of the broader view covering the history of humanity.
as in -- one would tend to be more inclined to do good for the family, friends and people they interact with in their neighbours or community. but lately it's not hard to find stories of people backstabbing their family or friends over money or spite, or other differences that we're all subjected to via media, the education system and government & coroporate messaging.
