The race you are claiming the Americans rallied around didn't exist. Rus weren't White. Europe never had racial solidarity among all it's ethnic groups and never tried to. Racial solidarity had been a unifying factor for maybe a dozen states in history (yes, all of them were Socialist, keyword: solidarity).
The United States never legally codified racial collectivism, which is why intra-racial discrimination had long since been allowed during the time you claim it was codified. Your pretending that an immigration policy designed to keep the country from being flooded by non-Anglo-Saxons, rather than German, French, Spanish, or Catholic generally was "White Nationalism".

That's not true, which is why constitutional protections apply to even non-citizens, and non-Europeans.
But I like this idea of Americans are a different race from the English. Why would we be a white country, if the race of America is American? The Anglos are a foreign race in America.
There are many Anglo Americans. Also man German Americans. French Americans. Polish Americans. We are all white. Law of 1791.
Citizen protections did not extend to aliens living within the country which is why blacks, natives, and mexicans were not protected. Hence slavery and reservations etc Also why tribal nations within the US borders were not considered Americans.
The american nation is European settlers. The american landmass has other inhabitants.
You keep saying it, but it keeps not being true. "White" is a British term. It's why when Enoch Powell was pressed on "White Migration", and whether or not he was okay with Polish migration he explicitly said "No". That's because "White" didn't include Poles, no matter how pale their skin color was. The Irish, Germans, and French being "white" wasn't how they they saw it. Particularly since those were Catholics, and the Germans were left-over Hessians.
There weren't Mexicans in the US in 1791.
Blacks and natives were protected, and were acknowledged as having citizenship. This includes the question of State Citizenship, because States granted internal citizenship, which then gave those people federal citizenship. At the time, this was a big discussion, though plenty of people were operating as if it were true. This is why the Dredd Scott Decision was so objectionable. It stripped citizenship rights to blacks who owned property, voted, and held political office as citizens. That is why the whole thing had to be settled with the Civil Rights amendments.
Slavery was never prevented from being multi-racial. White slaves and indentured servants were kept. Reservations are a completely different issue for the Progressive era.
Tribal land in the US is separated because they're not white. They are separated out because they are explicitly foreign, sovereign, states. Native Americans, particularly in the late 1700's and early 1800's were considered American when they were considered civilized, including enlisting and serving in the US military, specifically to help with negotiations with other tribes.
The American nation is comprised of Americans. Hardly any of those are the decedents of European settlers. Even then with all of your other arguments, Americans are also not merely citizens.
