What happened to Lindsey is what happens to everyone in the default Left managerial middle class. Being "left-wing" is an emotional connection. Unlike Carl and I, the emotional pull of being left-wing isn't strong enough to refute reality. Carl has chosen to reject Liberalism, where I choose to accept Liberalisms flaws and restrain it to government. Lindsey isn't willing to do either of those, so he's over-intellectualizing, trying to maintain some kind of social media influence (because he is basically blacklisted from all of Academia and research), and so he's flailing.
This is a real problem for the right because basically the right-wing intelligentsia is all podcasters, and there is no presence of the right-wing in research and academia, meaning there's not any real way to get institutional positions for our own intelligentsia. That's very bad, and was why I supported Trump's "American University" plan.
