I don't really care, but of course the uproar is because a lot of the owners of NFL teams are Republicans, and because of the high likelihood that Trump inserts himself into it like he has several other sporting events, which I sort of understand.
It's the inverse of the 'shut up and dribble' shit and while the hatred of Trump and right wingers is outright silly and stupid, I'm not going to pretend that telling athletes to shut up and play while a large chunk of American history, specifically labor and racial history is tied to sports wouldn't make people upset.
The Washington Commanders deserve the draft, I just don't really care for what I expect Trump to add to it in 2027. I like Trump like I've said several times, I just think that he forgets that leftists watch sports too and is surprised to hear people boo him when he goes to sporting events
As for racial stuff I can’t stand to hear young black athletes acting like they are living in 1850s Alabama. I have cousins who do that and I tune them out. Athletes are free to their opinions. I can definitely understand people just wanting to watch sports. Im a Cowboys fan so as you can imagine I really don’t care at all for the redskins (refuse to refer to them by the stupid new name) but the draft moving to different cities isn’t a bad thing. I became a hockey fan in 18 because so many nfl analyst shows turned into racial discussions. Baseball discussion shows tend to stick to baseball. Baseball is my favorite sport overall.
The fans mad about Trump were probably the same who thought Kapernick was some sort of hero. But I’m fine with zero politics. I know Trumps a sports fan and he is free to watch sports like any other politician but I will be tuning into that draft to see what I tune into every draft for…to see who the Cowboys get
Oh yea. This year I was working late on Jackie Robinson day so thankfully didn’t have to hear that brought up again. They act like there is some unjust ban when anyone who has the talent can put forth the effort to play and try to make the big leagues.
I remember Larry Elder talking about a news story about the “lack of black Americans in baseball” and talked to a black player on a college team. He was the only black player and the interviewer seemed annoyed because the guy said he gets along great with his teammates and hasn’t had any racial issues.

Baseball is starting to get as bad as football. I'm tired of hearing about the lack of black Americans in Baseball.
