So he basically pulled a Kamala unlike Trump who, under what a lot of people suggest was under Barron's suggestion, embraced 'new media' and podcasts getting A LOT of people especially younger voters on his side.
Which is odd and seems out of character considering how many YouTube videos he posts and how he rose to prominence off of viral clips of bulldog anti-left language. Very peculiar.
Your 'true populists' like Trump and Milei who at least try to follow through on what they promised.
I'd argue even that isn't the true populist. Don't get me wrong, I think they've done some good things, and their hearts are likely in the right place...but they've both made compromise after compromise too, and betrayed their base at times too.
We have yet to see the true populist. (True Populism Has Never Been Tried.)
The most shocking and condemnable part is, he pulled a Kamala after Kamala already pulled a Kamala.
Everyone had all the guidelines, all the data. Of what to do, and what not to do.
The other ridiculous part is...unless you're a gigacuck, why would you cut your own throat to try to cozy up to the media, when they clearly hate you? If you have near universally negative media attention, the goal is to go around them, not try to get them to like you. There's no fucking excuse.

I've come to the conclusion that we have two types of populist on the right:
The 'poser populist' who take on the look and attitude but don't commit to the policies or behaviour like your Pierre and I'd also say Farrage.
Your 'true populists' like Trump and Milei who at least try to follow through on what they promised.
The first type always buckle the second they encounter a strong bit of resistance while the latter just push back and keep pushing.
