I finally managed to land a real job with real benefits, and this is my first foray into corporate America. In grad school the nonsense was largely limited to emails I could have a chuckle about and move on with my day. Is the corporate world any worse than this or are the virtue signaling retards just as easy to ignore?

I wanted to make an addition to my doomer comment. 99% of time it does not factor in to anything, it's some eye rolling when a minority gets praised for doing some basic stuff because white managers treat them like kids but that is the extent of day to day.
If you manage to ignore and not focus on the discrimination and pandering it is mostly ok. You can still enjoy the superficial culture of fake-happy that corpos create. Even when they're promoting diversity it is always as some happy event that somehow makes it better for you. You feel very pampered most of the time. they're hardly hostile towards you (except if you're manager is a woman and you're not hot af). Just don't let your guard down, corpo politics is a game of thrones - feminists, Indians, other minorities all smile but each fighting for themselves and now that white guys aren't that many they do turn on each other and that makes things easier for us.
