I object less to women leading than I do to women having the franchise in a democracy. Of course without women having the franchise, you only wind up with women like Victoria (a hereditary monarch opposed to women's suffrage) or Thatcher (did her own households laundry while serving as PM). I'm not even opposed to women being involved in politics because they were even prior to the 19th, but not the vote.
