No, I know for sure Michael Brown's family basically didn't receive any of the donations that they were actually promised. It created some kind of legal action, and was one of the reasons that some of the Democratic AG's started going after BLM chapters. Had they embezzled money normally, they would have gotten away with it. Instead, they embezzled it by spending money like a 16 year old girl with her daddy's credit card.
Sorry, I wasn’t clear. I meant “some part of everything,” so even though the donations got stolen and there were lawyer fees on their lawsuit, I’m assuming they still got—and blew—at least a couple hundred thousand overall.
I get what you're saying. What I'm saying is the family (at least of Mike Brown) is claiming they didn't get even that. No cars, no liquor, no new houses. Just people telling them that the money is coming and then vanishing.
