And that would be a totally justified response. How? What would a uniformed cop do if he/ she were surrounded and taking assaults from every direction? If you really want to get technical with the legality, her assailants prohibited her fleeing the scene, placing her in clear and imminent danger. She had no option but to defend herself. If I were a lawyer, I'd gladly take her case all the way to the Supreme Court.
