WomenPeoplefishinghaving a hobby they enjoy, and being out in nature, lead to good outcomes?It's obvious but, like OP, I have two issues with this. The focus on women...and that's it's a commercial.
Just let people do what they want. If women want to fish...they can fish. They don't need advertisers to tell them to.
OP, I'm curious, who was the ad from, and where did you see it? TV? Radio? Was it a company, sporting goods or something? Or some gay government Ad Council nonsense?
Also, can you imagine the outrage if you made other true statements about women? "Nuclear families, good marriages, and raising children make women happy," or "Limiting social media use may increase happiness for women," or just "Embracing traditional gender roles my increase happiness, for both men and women."
It's more about invading men's spaces.
