One of the few sequels that was better than the original. Don't get me wrong, Short Circuit 1 was a good movie, but SC2 was just great.
I don't know if I can pick between them, personally. they're both good in different ways.
certainly, it's a sequel at least as good as the original, which is almost as rare.

SC2 was a self aware sequel, but it was a cash grab.
Much like how Gremlins 2 or Back to the Future worked, it just works (Again, I am shrugging!).
