There isn’t a problem with casually enjoying sports. America certainly has a problem with “bread and circuses”. Grown men at work will argue with each other, and know exactly how many rushing yards a person had. But they don’t know the basics of how society and their country functions.
I know, sportsball, and female sportsball at that, but trust me, this is relevant to the culture war.
