I (a white guy) attended a broncos parade when they won the super bowl back in 2016. Granted I didn't actually know there was a parade going on and was very confused why traffic was so terrible in downtown denver. Long story short I missed my class because it turned out my college was directly on the parade route and the assholes who ran the school didn't think that maybe, just MAYBE, it would be too difficult for students to come to class and that MAYBE they should suspend classes for the day.
