Plus the whole sci Fi element of reliving ancestors memories was retarded from the beginning. They could have just made it a fantasy/era thing. My guess is the game developers had extra 3D models lying around from a shelved sci Fi game, and don't want them to go to waste so contrived a way to use them in a game that took place in ancient times by shoehorning the tech bullshit in. The game was try hard from the beginning.
