Just saw this news today. I love the show and have those books on my list to read. It is funny because as a kid my grandmother loved this show and I thought it was sappy but now I happily watch and there are always some episodes on my DVR.

I'm assuming it will be the usual Netflix butchering of source material with the "white people bad" narrative.

I would guess they will do to Little House what they did to Anne of Green Gables. My sister was a big fan of those books and that Disney series in the 80s and she told me she tried to watch the Netflix adaptation but it was full of the usual current year crap and the showrunner actually said the book didn't have enough diversity so she felt the need to add racial, feminist, lgbt stuff.

I guess this adaptation will be like all the other current year period pieces.
