Anyone able to recommend any good newer RPGs without any woke elements shoved in?
I made the mistake of buying Drova - Forsaken Kin without looking into it first thinking it was the perfect way to scratch the Gothic itch only to be greeted by Body Type 1 & 2 and a black celt/viking druid within the first minute.
The only other RPGs I've got my eyes on are Tainted Grail (still Early Access) and Skald (not liking the limited color scheme).
What's your criteria for 'recent'? Most pre-2015 RPGs are good and relatively un-woke. As for new releases, I'll agree with Rogue Trader although I haven't gotten too far in it.
5-10 years. I have played or am already aware of most older RPGs. So I'm more interested in more recent gems. Especially RPGs with a compelling story/atmossphere.
I'll throw Kenshi into the mix then. Not a story-driven RPG, but it is quite a good sandbox RPG experience
Kenshi's a good time sucker and all but it's really stretching the minimum requirements of an RPG, it's way more of a weird sandbox/desert running sim.
It's also like 6 years old if you only count full release and over a decade old if you count early access.
