I don't know why people are giving this any benefit of the doubt. Yeah, of course Captain America is about values, and that does go beyond America...but...I mean, Captain America. He represents values, but also patriotism and America.

I agree with u/LastRights, this just seems like marketing to China; trying to distance the movie from specific American patriotism, and make it more universal. Which likely won't work, for numerous reasons.
