This same argument can be applied to children that we should place them in factories instead of schools to boost manufacturing...
This is a misnomer as many farm hands from Mexico are LEGAL seasonal workers who come over, do the work during picking season then go back home. That probably won't change but if regulation of the industry is reduced it makes automation cheaper so they are less dependent on am outside labour force.
But there's NO excuse for illegals unless you want to also remove the 14th amendment...
