Not mine I just wanted to save it before the mods take it down:
The Fall of the Kingdom
Once a haven, now betrayed,
A world of lies the devs have laid.
A straight hero’s tale turned astray,
Escapism ruined, his path made gay.
Forced DEI, the dialogue preaches,
The soul of the story, far it reaches.
Fans attacked, their voices denied,
In promises broken, the dream has died.
Kingdoms crumble when truth is lost,
This is the fate of progress’s cost.

I spite bought the first one because the journos whined about it and barely played it.
I'm not going to buy this 2nd one.
"But if we make Henry gay and add an out-of-place patronizing black man, we'll lose our audience!"
"lol" said the Vavra. "lmao."
Unfortunately looks like the game is going to be a success, for a period it beat monster hunter wilds. That makes me incredibly sad. I hoped it would crash and burns on Concord levels but meh, so far looks to be going strong.
Monster Hunter Wilds has been slow dripping info for over a year, anyone who was going to preorder probably already has and its sales are massively diluted across that time period.
KCD2 beating it when its just reaching headlines isn't a real comparison, as most games upon announcement jump up the charts.
A lot of other forums are still swearing that the leaks about this game are false and encouraging people to pick the game up. Once release hits and facts get out, this game is going to die. I wish there was a way to see percentage numbers on Steam refunds.
A few days ago Vavra said there is no unusual amount of refunds.
Assuming he was not lying and combine that with the most sold charts from Steam and it looks to be a hit. However data on refunds probably lags a day behind and that was just after he confirmed Henry being gay and the black dude so the refunds may have spiked after.
Without data is no way to know but with the current info we have the odds of being a hit are higher then being a flop.
It looks Warhorse/Plaion has given up on the Steam discussions. Not a single locked thread in sight after bringing down the hammer all day yesterday.
It was counter-productive for them. The community manager they used told players the game was always woke. The only limitation was the budget.
They also cleared all the anti-jew posts
God this whole situation is just fucking sad.
I was looking forward to this game, the first one was great with fantastic story telling true to the setting, moments of mirth, no forced DEI nonsense, and solid gameplay. Why did you morons have to do this? Why did you have to throw away the respect you all earned? Its just fucking stupid, we defended you all from the woke cancel mob when you were making the first game, and you threw all that good will away for...this?
I hope the solid gold nuts hanging in your car bring you comfort Vavra. Hope seeing your legacy tarnished like this was worth it.
Personally, I still think the games going to be a success. I am pretty certain its going to sell and its going to do well. However at the same time, I do not think its going to be as big as it could have been had they not stepped in it like this.
The silver lining is that it will make people more racist and homophobic.
I cancelled my preorder from CDKeys. They wrote back to me saying the following:
IDK if it's all related to KCD, but what else could it be? Many people are cancelling. If I ever get this game it'll be heavily on discount or maybe even in the high seas. I couldn't care less if on a scale of 1-10 it's only a 1 on the woke meter. They tried to hide it and even when they were found out, they acted like scumbags about it. That's enough for me to not want to look past this.
Things about the game I liked:
authentic and immersive real medieval setting
a story about camaraderie
Now we have ahistorical black people and the camaraderie completely falls apparat if your character is bi and the other guy is also bi.
So what should the appeal of this game be to me?
I fail to even find a reason to even pirate it.
Now do season two of Westworld.
