A few days ago my Reddit account got banned. Whatever, that's just Tuesday for me. So I logged on to my next account and wouldn't you know it, that one's banned too! I then realized that all of my accounts got banned, pretty much at the exact same time. I tried making a new account and after a few minutes, it also got banned. I then tried making a new account using the TOR browser and a completely different email, but I kept getting error messages, which leads me to believe they're starting to block TOR IPs from making new accounts. At this point I'm starting to think the Reddit jannies might be ramping up their security and going full steam ahead on censorship. If you still have an account and you want to keep it, I'd advise you to be extra careful about what you post. I have a feeling we're going to see even milquetoast center-right subreddits being targeted more by the jannies in the upcoming months.

Reddit is basically impossible for a new account to use. I have a burner account with something like 12 karma which is too low to post anywhere. No matter what sub it's below some arbitrary karma threshold. That site has to be majority bots by now.
Reddit pushes the automoderator on everyone.
I don't have limits on my sub c_at, I think. Feel free to post and comment (and upvote).
Link: fantasy programming language C@ / programmer humor
Only restriction: Stick to the programming/computer theme in original posts.
Join some of the niche subreddits and they’ll upvote anything as long as you stick to the narrative.
Once you have enough karma only then can you post freely.
Lots of VPN IPs are blocked as well. Only specific ones they allow, for whatever reason.
That's how you can tell which VPNs are not actually interested in privacy and will gleefully give away your information, unlike those which try to protect it and only sometimes fail to do so.
From what I gather, the big social media websites are automatically collecting all the various IP addresses from commercial VPN providers and are systematically banning them.
Not just social media, but yes. What I said about reddit still stands: there are certain VPN companies that will gladly sell or give away "private" user data for advertising or to governments in exchange for their server IPs continuing to have access to websites.
It's literally impossible to start a new account now without getting immediately shadow banned. They seem to have flagged pretty much everything TOR or VPN.
I've had some non-Reddit sites deny me access via Tor as of late.
They probably thought you were trying to manipulate votes with multiple accounts.
Which is something strictly reserved for the site admins.
They started the site with bots to fake the engagement and that's all reddit exists for now, vote manipulation.
You got to use a different IP address and change your browser so no cookies are linked across accounts.
I must be on my 30th by now.
I have a few reddit accounts because they always blacklist/nuke them for saying mildly conservative stuff.
With a new account you have to farm for positive comment karma before you can start posting…
Gone are the days when reddit was the town square.
Now its troons jerking themselves.
same thing here for naming the jew in /conspiracy 2 yrs ago. some pedo story posted and i just said "they are jewish by the way" and every account i ever made got banned + IP banned. i appealed several times no joy. then like 2 months later everyone is openly naming the jew harder than me in the same sub.
