I’d rather play as a literal monkey samurai taking on the tiger bandits.
I just realized I'm not aware of a good common name for elite historical Chinese infantry. No hoplite or legionary or immortal or knight or samurai or viking or janissary or housecarls or etc. I know there's layers to those, but they're a decent enough term to picture who you're talking about.
Probably cause they don't exist lol. If you objectively look at Chinese weapons, it's pretty obvious they never fought anyone outside of their region. Had they ever fought anyone else in the world they would have lost miserably and would have had to redesign their ridiculous weapons
That's basically what happened once westerners started selling artillery to them.
I think "Imperial Guards" is probably the closest they had, and it speaks a lot to how their society was set up.
They kept their best men around for the constant and regular coup attempts on their lives, and let the real fighting be fought by peasants with farm tools or barely capable idiots of their main army.
I wonder.. will there be an evil white dutch man? Lol. I bet you there will be one. Maybe the secret surprise villain that is behind the evil.
Two things in this world I cannot stand: Intolerance of other people's culture... and the Dutch.
You seem them occasionally in movies. They tend to be ambiguously gay for some reason.
That fucking crossbow in that trailer drove me crazy back in the day. I didn't give a fuck about historical accuracy. I just wanted to know why the fuck the trailer indicated the game had a crossbow, but I never got one in game. A dumb gripe, but I hateeee misleading trailers.
I honestly think that first thing was an excuse as someone who played Assassin's Creed from the first up until Black Flag.
Throwing knives were EXTREMELY useful and limited in the game to get away or remove certain guards on rooftops to get to targets, having a crossbow would've made that game A LOT easier lol.
Could you not limit bolts?
They did by not having them lol
Like most companies, the autistic and passionate guys who built these companies/franchises are long gone and their reputation is being worn like a skin by people who want to use it to give weight and authority to their nonsense.
Its why loyalty to a company is always a retarded idea.
At least back in the day, a company you liked could turn out 3+ titles before turning to shit. Now you're lucky if you get two.
They've done something different with Yasuke's hair.
