That was Die Another Day, which was the 20th film, and for that, they threw in a bunch of references (Hallie Berry's swimsuit, etc) to older Bond fims, and they also had a Bond car vs Bond car fight, which at the time, was a very requested thing by the fan base. And yes one of them could turn invisible.
I'll tack on to this, the Bond series should be a perpetual 50's and exploration of that world tangent in all things. OF COURSE, that will never happen because perception control is a found basis of their work and any alternative lifestyle with higher propensity of standard of living would be killed off.
But man, what a great series it would've been to enjoy.
They should make an OG Bond set to the 50s. Go full Mad Men and make Bond gritty again.
All Bond stories should be set during the Cold War era.
Even the Brosnan era Bonds are ridiculous to me because the character doesn’t even make sense outside the context of the Cold War.
The Brosnan era turned Bond into a guy with a lot of gadgets. Didn’t one of them have an invisible car or something equally ridiculous?

The world is not enough was his best one. I loved the chainsaw helicopter.
Where would they put the black people and the gays? You know, for the modern audience.
