When the other mogwai pop out of Gizmo, they are already mischievous, and when they turn they become even more evil. It seems to imply that mogwai are already bad, and the transformation makes them worse. But Gizmo is extraordinarily kind. So if Gizmo was turned would he be evil, or would he still be kind?

I think the key thing is Gizmo actively refused to eat after midnight after the others sabotaged the clock. So the question is would he even become a gremlin in the first place if he has the self control to behave on his own?
I'm imaging a situation with someone, possibly a gremlin, force feeding him.
He would do evil, not be evil.
It kinda seems like a plot hole now, but I simply can't remember if Gizmo tried to warn the human about the clock.
He didn't warn Billy, but I think that was because he was also unaware of the damage to the clock.
I'm reminded of MasakoX's famous what-if on if Raditz turned good.
Raditz chose to keep his tail, thus was required to stay indoors whenever there was a full moon, to prevent himself from becoming that wild giant monkey. He didn't trust himself to be disciplined enough to control it.
Fun fact: In one of the fan projects about that, Dragon Ball R&R, Raditz was voiced by a then-unknown Kevin Afghani.
