Not sure if there is anything to it but is the Indigenous movement also infected by feminism?
Just feels a bit odd that Echo was so full of feminism and this commercial is also featuring a woman. I would have thought the indigenous communities would have more stereotypical gender roles.
Given my experience at Canadian Universities, it's only the women who go to school and try to improve themselves. I never saw a native dude trying to get his Bachelor's degree -- to bad, too, because would have been diversity-hired to the top.
