Also Maori in New Zealand are considered "indigenous" to New Zealand despite only been in New Zealand for 7 hundred years whereas Japanese are not indigenous to Japan despite being in Japan for thousands of years?
Its clear the term "indigenous" is just used by globalist leftists to destroy any working civilization and means nothing.
When globohomo refers to Japan and Indigenous, they're usually referring to the Ainu in Hokkaido. And sometimes in anime, you'll see the rare dark-skinned native Okinawan/Ryukyu Island natives, which are supposed to count for DEI Indigenous points.
I'm not knowledgeable enough on this subject to comment beyond that. I will say that there's a lot more media featuring Ainu than there used to be. I strongly suspect that this is the direction the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima sequel is heading in.
And the sami are the only indigenous population in Europe.
My ancestors followed the ice as it retreated and settled Norway long before the sami came here, yet I'm not called indigenous and they get preferential treatment in law.
technically the ainu were there first along with a the Ryuku islanders and a few others (I think), the japanese are descended from chinese, korean, and I forget what else settlers who intermindgled to become the Japanese we know today. There's some controversy about supposedly forcing the Ainu to integrate into Japanese culture more closely and abandon their old ways, apparently. I suspect it's largelya reaction to the western commie bullshit going on right now, but yeah.
that being said, I'm surprised they bothered to finally defend the Ainu, when they look so european, but commies gonna commie, I guesss.
''Indigenous'' usually means ''anyone who was last there 5 minutes before White people arrived''.
Dosen't matter if they killed the previous inhabitants 15 minutes ago, as long as they were there last, 5 minutes before Whitey got there.
That's why White people don't have indigenous rights to Europe.
Oh but the Inuit in Greenland have ''Indigenous Rights'' over the Danish, despite genociding the natives around 1300, and the Norse being there around the same time ( but dissapearing for a while ).
For one of the most absurd examples : the ethnic Quebecois arrived in 1534, permanent towns in 1600 : don't have indigenous rights. But the Inuit, who genocided their way into Northern Quebec around 1500, have indigenous rights. Figuratively 5 minutes before White people.
Here we are withnessing a step further into ''Japanese are honorary Whites'' mindset of Globalists : Subvert and destroy via mass migration and Intersectional Race Marxism kicks into gears.

Don't you know? Only loser races that didn't build the country, get to be called "indigenous".

Japanese are also descendents of Jomon who were definately there first.
And Ainu don't claim all of Japan , only the north of it in the Hokkaido area.
And commies don't "defend" anyone. They just use whatever group didn't build the country as a weapon against the group that did build the country.
good points, sorry, didn't mean to imply ainu were native to all of japan.
Im aware of that. And it doesn't change any of my points

Obviously the Japanese should have enslaved and eaten the previous settlers. Classic mistake.
It's a good lesson that you should wipe out your enemies to the last man.
Have you noticed that 'indigenous' is used for American Indians and not Europeans who are being destroyed on their own continent?
