Just finished up the show, Colin Farrell was spectacular as an actor, but the wahmaning, victim writing, and poor story structure sucked the life out of the otherwise genuinely good parts. I don’t know if it was the female showrunner or writers or what, but you could have entirely removed the female “rival (but secret actual main character)” from the entire series and the show would have drastically improved. They had gold with a Colin Farrell playing Tony soprano trying to scumbag his way to the top and nearly half the series episodes instead revolve around a girl boss “finding herself” after being a victim. It’s so fucking tiresome anymore that something can be a solid 7-8 tv show if you just completely remove half of it because it’s female victim porn.

Haven’t watched the movie, didn’t bother after I saw the race swapping. The driver was essentially a plot device who bounces in and out of even having a story because the writers couldn’t be bothered to try character development on anyone but girl boss. The mom was an ok actress whose character suffered from rushed episode pacing forced by… the main focus being on girl boss.
The girl boss thing is so forced in modern movie it's laughable. I see men defend 90 pound girl bosses beating up 240 lbs. Behemoths, but question a smaller guy fighting dudes. We live in a simp culture
In college I had a neckbeard try claiming that men and women have the same combat capabilities and that an all female platoon would be able to fight equally against and all male one. They truly exist in a perpetual state of delusion reinforced by media propaganda.
They can't even hold their own in sports, including professional tennis which has no physical contact between players. The 203rd ranked male player beat the Williams sisters back to back and they'd both been training their entire lives.
Do you remember the hysteria that followed McEnroe when he said Serena was the best female tennis player, and the media wanted him to say best tennis player? Even she was saying no, the male players beat me up during tennis. She said the men were so much better it was almost a different game. But McEnroe was a monster because he said she wasn't the apex of tennis players.
I tried explaining extremely generously that even the gear weight would make a massive difference due to average female and male weight, even if they were magically the same physical strength. The reply I got was “well they have trucks don’t they?” Another gem later on “how hard can it be to shoot a rifle accurately while moving.” They have no concept of reality because they have no experience and even worse, they’re too far up their own ass/ conditioned to even be able to realize that men and women might be different.
I'm guessing that guy was never in a platoon if he believes that. If they could why do they have a lower fitness threshold?
Of course not, he was the typical male neckbeard feminist who never saw a weight rack in his life. It’s funny, when you actually compete, whether is be physically or mentally, you actually get a gauge for ability or the drastic lack thereof.
Even if that platoon was the 1st Drone Strike platoon, where all the platoon does is sit at computers pressing buttons to initiate or not initiate drone strikes, well... The top Starcraft esports players are even all bio-male. I can see wanting to m'lady the women, I can see grasping for a theoretical singular edge case where probabilities align to allow an outlier... But on-average, platoon vs platoon combat? That's peak delulu.
It's probably because his yardstick for male performance is himself. He's the edge case, a platoon of emotionally pathetic soy twigs and neckbeard lardsticks probably would actually be about as good as a platoon of average women.
He's not so much overestimating the average woman as underestimating how ridiculously below average he is.
