Who in their right mind would even answer that?
I'd be pissed at the surveyor. I'd question their ethics and morals and remind them that it's a choice to do a job, and now that they know their actions contribute to evil in the world, keeping the job is a willful act of malice.
Then I'd remind them to pray.
