Facebook was still limited to just people in your college which lead to many dates and new friends than the usual methods. It also didn't have photos (other than your profile pic) which kept most of the proto-onlyfans attention whore thots away from it.

Once smartphones hit everything changed. Work lunches used to be fun and full of conversation, but then it became a chore as everyone anti-socially finger fucked their phones rather than talk to the humans right in front of them.
