In a situation where he is an actual samurai (well aware he wasnt) they would have bowed to him, because he was a samurai, and because the Japanese for essentially all of their history have typically been a rule-following type of people
he wasnt a samurai and fuck them in general for making it, but within the frame of their retarded worldview and perspective it is likely they would bow to him and treat him respectfully if he were a samurai
