That's literally how we got here.
The hot lesbians were the tease throughout the 80s and 90s (and some of the aughts, because it was Eric Bischoff who popularised the "hot lesbian action" phrase), and it was the wedge, the gateway that enabled them to go further. Because most guys are idiots, and thought "Wow, those are hot lesbians; I'm fine with that".
They pulled the double Uno reverse by saying "If you're okay with lesbians then you have to be okay with gays and trannies too!" and most guys, being idiots, let it slide because of the hot lesbians.
And now, they are taking away the hot lesbians. So now guys are just stuck with gays and trannies and ugly lesbians. Because that was always the goal, and now there is no way to turn it back around.
TL;DR: They used the male sex drive to normalise faggotry.
That might hold water if pro-gay legislation didn't fail nearly everytime, which is why Obama had to use an Executive Order to force it, and that pro-faggotry still only ever got that far because of the female vote.
