They don't have any respect towards their own God, why would they think they will have any towards other religions?
Unless it's that desert moon god with the black box in ye olde house of saud.
Much stabby respect there.
Nigger worship needs to fucking end already.
Any part of Japanese (and Asia essentially since they thought Chinese and Japanese are interchangeable languages) culture they HAVEN'T insulted yet?
I wouldn't be surprised if they try to say Yasuke invented sushi when before the stupid Japanese just ate the fish raw with no preparation. Ubisoft are more racist to Japanese than FDR at this point, they just don't have the power to put them in camps.
You mean no seasoning.
It's such an absolutely stupid meme; it's hilariously incorrect, among other things. "White people can't season their food! It's all flavorless and boring!"
ALL their arguments about 'flavor' go out the window with THIS VIDEO
I've heard personal horror stories too of Black people doing this, I'd rather have 'bland' food over this shit!
Oh no, oh no, oh no!
It's so much worse than I expected!
Expecting a bunch of Frogs to know anything about other cultures. I'm sure the Star Wars Outlaws bomb will send Ubisoft back into hiding for a while. Maybe even get Shadows "delayed" to Vaporware.
The problem with dealing with an extremely conformist, collectivist society is you end up in situations like this. There being a single possible way to talk about their history or society without insulting them.
Japan can be really stupid about that, its why Nobunaga is 400% evil and literally Satan anytime they need a villain, but Ubisoft has no leeway or benefit of the doubt left after all the other bullshit they are pulling here.
What are you talking about? There's plenty of media that makes Nobunaga not evil. He's generally regarded as a bad guy because he was responsible for multiple massacres, but he's also venerated as a great general and the first unifier.
I actually wonder if that applies to the DEI nutters, now that you bring that up...
Yes, I have seen him portrayed both in a positive (The Ambition of Oda Nobuna is one case where I've seen a heroic Nobunaga) and negative light before - according to another user on c/gaming, the same can be said of Akechi Mitsuhide, who betrayed him, but there's still a lot of respect for the guy to have made people angry about this.
100%. The questionable portrayal of both Nobunaga and Akechi might have been forgiven if it wasn't for all the shit they pulled with Yasuke and the upset it caused the Japanese.
