I'd like to take you up on that. I'm terrible at picking up Manhwa as all the ones I try are reincarnation power fantasies. You wouldn't happen to know any focused around urban fantasy or military where the main character isn't some OP badass who comes back from the dead?
Hmm, it's the 'isn't OP' part that is the hard one on that. Plus some of these aren't come back from the dead simply they now exist somewhere else.
On a light side you could try Solo Farming in the Tower as the MC is not op in fact he's the weakest thing there but it's because he can provide food and create friendly connections that he gets ahead. On a similar vain you have The S-Classes that I Raised where it focuses on building up those around him and I was dismissed from the Hero's Party because they don't need my training skills, so I strengthened my [Fief] which I got as a replacement for my retirement money which is one of the few the MC isn't exiled or betrayed by his party, they genuinely cared about him that they didn't want him to die following them into more dangerous areas so set him up to be a lord somewhere safe.
If it's more military you're after, I would recommend Nihonkoku Shoukan as if you've ever heard of GATE it's like that but with NO RESTRICTIONS as ALL of Japan has been transferred to a fantasy world, there's no MC in particular and fantasy weapons aren't as effective against modern weapons like jet fighters. It has rape, torture, civilian massacres and the Japanese aren't the ones doing it but fucking hell there's on event that makes them go full Empire again as the latest chapter they carpet bomb a military base killing everyone but one survivor.
not him, but thx man.
Thank you very much for that. I'll have to check them out, especially Nihonkoku Shoukan as I was a big fan of the general concept of GATE. As cool as it was seeing a modern army lay waste to a stereotypical fantasy world, I was a tad disappointed that the Magic vs Technology conflict wasn't closer. Furthermore, the lack of exploration of the interregional politics between Japan, The Special Region and Earth I felt didn't detract from the story, but it was good story left on the table.
