HRT is a form of getting high, and it makes sense that depressed kids turn to drugs when some adult creep offers them drugs and the appearance of a community. Just like steroids can get you high, and their abuse tends to go hand-in-hand with body dysmorphia too. When they talk about their "gender euphoria" and how amazing hormones make them feel and how they feel so empowered and like a different person and all the problems in their life seem like nothing, that's them being high.
