That's actually what I was thinking he would do: stay on the ticket, lose the election, and basically pocket most of the money. And to be clear, that's a very Biden strategy.
As I understand, because Biden isn't on the ticket, it's not actually Harris' campaign, and the money has to be refunded to the donors, who would then re-donate it back to whatever campaign they choose.
I believe that according to campaign financing laws, at least some of that money, based on how it was raised, can only be spent if Kamala's name remains on the ticket. Whoever does end up being nominated may have to keep her as VP.

But same article had 1 expert suggest that it might be open to interpretation by Federal Election Commission. Given the DNC's track record of successful corruption, I'm inclined to think they'll manage to keep the war chest even if she ends up being VP again.
According to these sources:
I don't think Kamala can actually keep that money. They are probably wrong about that.
They probably can't, but who's going to stop, them?
yeah...
It's certainly an odd situation. What else can happen to the funds? 100% to the big guy?

That may be the case.
Then again, I think the Dems are prepared to break the law, not just their own procedures, to keep that money.
They would without a second thought if they were confident of winning. But a Trump DOJ might actually do something about it.

I remember reading about this scenario on ZeroHedge a few weeks ago, and it suggested she had to be the presidential candidate - https://www.zerohedge.com/political/kamalas-ace-hole-91-million-biden-harris-campaign-fund

Yeah, that's my concern. I really don't know what they're going to do, because the law doesn't have much value to the DNC.
Interested to see if this is true or not.
